Inspired by the approaching memorial to Dennis O’Rourke on this Saturday, 7th December, Trevor Graham wrote a last letter to a friend…
Dear Dennis,
Where the hell are you when we need you most? I am still coming to terms with the fact that you are not here, but your many wonderful films are. They are so inseparable in my mind, along with the many stories attached to them, about you making them.
Trevor Graham is the writer and director of Make Hummus Not War,
which had its World Premiere at the Melbourne International Film
Festival in August and screened at the Berlinale. It was produced
without television presales and funded via Screen Australia’s Signature
Program, the Premier Fund of MIFF, Screen NSW, the Telematics Trust and
Fine Cut Films. Graham is the former Co-Chair of the Australian
International Documentary Conference and a former commissioning editor
at SBS TV.
