China and WTFN: making the footage library work

It is a known fact that the Chinese screen sector is looking to sell its own IP abroad – and concrete proof comes from a deal which cements WTFN’s rrelationship with Tianjin TV.

The deal, an official co-production, was signed off with formalities we have come to expect with China. According to the release, “WTFN Chief Executive Officer, Daryl Talbot and Head of Production Wes Crook finalised the deal in a series of meetings in Tianjin last week attended by Mr Li Jiasen, Director of the TJTV International Channel, Mr Wan Ke, President of TJTV and Mr Shen Guohua, Vice President of TJTV.”
