Censorship: Australian censors fang horror comedy

Father’s Day, a Canadian horror comedy, has been refused a classification by the Board just two days before it was due to screen at the Monster Fest Film Festival in Melbourne’s Nova Cinema.

The organisers, led by festival director Neil Foley, are outraged. Even more salt is poured onto the wound by the fact that the film was given a temporary exemption to be run at Sydney’s Night of Horror Film Festival’. It won best director and best feature.
