The four Australian features and one short selected for Korea’s Busan Film Festival in October reflect our strong interest in Asia which has emerged coincidentally this year.

Busan is a very important festival – it is the largest in Asia, now stabilised and firmly part of the calendar, primed by government but building on strong local affection. According to ACMI programmer Richard Sowada, it manages to program a lot of really interesting films from the region.
