Google still owns the enticement process for film audiences, much more than Twitter or Facebook, or probably word of mouth. By analysing its own data, Google reveals a number of scary facts which are very, very instructive.

First factoid: by analysing the search data for the week before release, Google knows the opening box office to 92% accuracy. They don’t need to sweat the results.
