The Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance federal secretary Christopher Warren has given a very long period of notice – “he will not seek re-election or re-appointment when his current term expires next year.”
Chris Warren has been at the helm of the MEAA for an extraordinary 22 years. He started in 1992, after a further six years as the federal secretary of the old AJA, the pre-amalgamation Journalists Union. Before that he was a print journalist, starting in 1976 as a cadet in the Sydney Morning Herald.
