Not an ACS, the ACS.. and we are sure Byron Kennedy would have approved.
The Byron Kennedy Award was set up in 1984, the year after the death of producer Byron Kennedy in a helicopter accident, to “”to identify, award, promote and celebrate Australia’s greatest achievements in film and television.”
In 2010 it passed nominally from the AFI to AACTA as the awards org changed its name. The winners are a roll-call of change makers [excuse the bureaucratese but it fits…] which mostly goes to individuals. Organisations are Animal Logic, Inside Film Magazine and Popcorn Taxi.
