Russell Crowe leaves Thirty Odd Foot of Grunt at home as he plays stand-in for Hugh Sheridan, who has business in LA.

The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts has induced Rusell Crowe to come to the rescue after the winsome boy wonder Hugh Sheridan declines the opportunity to host the AACTAs on January 30th.

According to AACTA, Sheridan has “a conflicting L.A. schedule”, a line backed up by Ten, who has been identifying itself with the Logie-laden rising star as he hosted the forgettable I Have Survived in 2012.
