The Little Death, the sex comedy from Josh Lawson, had its first weekend. Could it overcome the stigma against Australian films about sex? Would Satan lead his faithful from the suburbs in their hordes? Sadly, the devil doesn’t have a facebook page, so the result looked pretty ordinary. It has taken $83,000 so far, including previews in two cinemas, and is doing $2285/screen on 34 screens. The fact that adults dare not go to the movies because it is school holidays might make a difference.
