Box Office: Jumping Jehosophat, a turnaround in January

Paper Planes may be a gentle kids' film, but it has roared out of its box and is leaving rubber on the highway to heaven.

By Friday of last week, the progenitors of Paper Planes were able to tell an indifferent world that it had made $500,000 on its first night.

Now, three days later, that figure is $1,894m, on 253 screens, at an average of $6,848, and those seats are cheaper than adults. What is more, they are not even prime session because this is a film for the youngsters.
