Box Office: Australian films hang in with added Reckoning

Felony and Predestination dropped 30% - a reasonable amount for the second week slump but it does not suggest great word of mouth.

Generally speaking, the screen averages are showing us that cinema traffic is pretty mediocre at the moment. That means plenty of cinemas are sparsely populated and the punters may as well be at home in front of their home theatre systems.

The cosiest experience last weekend was But Always, distributed by Chinalion, on nine screens, which is running a tad under $8000/screen in its first week. It is a Chinese romantic drama.
