Box Office 8 August 2016 screams with suicidal joy

While very little is happening in the Brand Australia part of the national box office this week, local glory has been scored through an outrageous export.

Sherpa and Chasing Asylum are still out there, courtesy of their cinema on demand loyalists. Sherpa took another $4000 off three screens to make $1,275,226 in 19 weeks, while Chasing Asylum made $531,401 in its eleventh week by snaring seven screens. This is sheer indomitable persistence, justified partly by sharing a message and connecting with communities.
