Utterly current documentary Chasing Asylum focuses on our refugee policy, just as we hit a federal election when neither Liberal nor Labor will generate any real debate. It is produced and directed by Eva Orner, who has been working in the US to make Out of Iraq, The Network, The Human Behaviour Experiments and Taxi to the Dark Side, which she produced for Alex Gibney and won them both an Oscar in 2007.
