Image: Cut Snake. Ace performances. Pop the kids in front of Blinky Bill and slip into grown-ups’ stuff.

Oddball seems to be perched on a rocket. $4.6m in nine days. We are half way through the school holidays, it is doing $6130/screen, it gained four screens to 290, and it gained 84% in its first week.

Those figures are wonky because this is a kids’ film and the take is during the week and during the day. However, we can say that at least four hundred thousand people have seen it, at children’s ticket prices. Word of mouth is clearly working for it.
