Image: Holding the Man
Holding The Man went out on 31 screens, and took a screen average of $7787, to assemble $466,000 at the box office. That is a very good boutique opening, which will make Transmission pretty happy.
Last Cab to Darwin, in its fourth week, is still at number 7, though it is now only making $2674/screen, down from $3,384 last week. It only dropped a single screen to 246. The 21% drop is probably caused by exhibitors who moved the picture to less friendly slots. It has now taken $5.5m, in Icon’s satisfying but sadly rare incursion into Australian films.
