Khoa Do and Stephen Corvini discuss the production of Better Man – a cruelly true story about a doomed innocent which they experience as both a devastating event, and a substantial piece of television craft.

As a filmmaker, youth worker and former Young Australian of the Year, Khoa Do is one of the best known Vietnamese Australians working in the arts. With his track record writing and directing low-budget features with strong multicultural themes and characters (The Finished People, Footy Legends, Mother Fish and Falling for Sahara), Khoa seemed a natural fit for FremantleMedia’s Stephen Corvini when he was looking for a director to work on the SBS mini-series Better Man.
