Image: the gang around 52 Tuesdays. In here is a writer. Back row, second from left, is Matthew Cormack who now has an AWGIE. With him are Benjamin Speed, Imogen Archer, Tilda Cobham-Hervey and Sophie Hyde.

First – who got the major AWGIE? Aha. It went to Blake Ayshford, Shelley Birse and Justin Monjo for The Code, the six-episode political thriller for the ABC produced by Playmaker Media, for which it looks like a breakthrough production, as it has been picked up by BBC4 and DirectTV in the US. Produced by David Maher, David Taylor, and Shelley Birse, it was directed by Shawn Seet.  But here the spotlight shines on the writersfor this is their annual moment of celebration.
