Propelled by CEO Graeme Mason, Screen Australia is determined to pump some pride into the screen sector, both to support the brand for the public and to excise the bitchiness and negativity that floats across the industry.

So, the agency is proud to report that the box office for Australian films so far is $64m dollars, the best since $63.4m in 2001. Of the top one hundred box office results that year in Australia, $27.5m came from Moulin Rouge!, $9.9m came from Lantana, $8.1m from The Man Who Sued God, $7,76m for Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles – and that is it.
