What better way to promote a World City than a grouse set of awards from all over the Asia-Pacific.? Actually funding the Queensland arts properly would be better, but APSA is providing value for money to the Brisbane City Council, even if the State won’t. Brisbane is a New World City. We know this because Brisbane Marketing, the saviours of the seventh Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) do their level best to shoehorn those words into each and every aspect of the autocue during last night’s awards. We get it Brisbane, the Asia Pacific region has embraced you, no need to labour the point.
