Graeme Mason admits he is a bit of an Energiser Bunny, and Anne Richey took careful notes as he hopped through his thought processes as he seeks to turn the future into a garden of delights for the production sector. He is a determined optimist and has plenty of reasons to hop with hope.

Following a delightful Welcome to Country message from Auntie Josie representing the Kaurna people, the new Screen Australia CEO was invited to the stage for the Opening Address of AIDC 2014. Graeme, like his predecessor Ruth Harley, was formerly the CEO of the New Zealand Film Commission and has now been in the job for approximately three months. He described how he went to the SPA Conference on his third or fourth day in the role, has been to Senate Estimates twice and has been to most parts of the country on Enterprise matters.
