Creating a great documentary conference is always a tough gig, and the AIDC set itself some insane organisational challenges through 2012. So far, Joost den Hartog feel able to deliver a good news story.

Simmering conflict between creative documentary and factual… difficulties enticing overseas players.. tight sponsorship markets.. a collapse into a few big players… plenty of agendas to dishearten the most positive of AIDC boards. So, what did it do?
