The ACS National Awards were hosted in Brisbane, courtesy of the state committee, and held in the Tivoli Theatre. Key entertainers were Ray Martin and John Jarrett, who submitted to a Q&A and showed footage from his directing debut. The vision behind StalkHer belongs more to his horror side than his work with Noni Hazlehurst on Better Homes and Gardens.

Both the Milli Award for Best Cinematographer and the Golden Tripod for Features went to John Toon, cited for his work on Mr Pip.
