Deirdre Brennan will replace Tim Brooke-Hunt as controller of ABC Children’s TV. In 2007, he took over as Executive Head of ABC children’s content, where Brennan had been ABC Childrens’ Programmer for six years.
Deirdre Brennan’s appointment as controller of ABC Children’s TV is hardly a surprise. She was a key figure in the impoverished ABC Children’s empire under Claire Henderson until her departure in 2007, before ABC3 was announced and Tim Brooke-Hunt took over.
