The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards will be broadcast on Network Ten on January 30 – the actual date of the Awards – it was announced today. The organisers are also promising a new format, which will include entertainment.

AACTA also announced that the host of the event will be Hugh Sheridan (Packed To The Rafters), while the Awards themselves will be held at the new Event Centre at The Star, Sydney, rather than the Sydney Opera House.
