Gone are the nerves and hesitations before the MIFF program launch – the Dobbin/Carey chair/artistic director team now thunders forward like a steam train into the Melbavostok night. Keeping the cultural shunting yards running is the new general manager, Amber Sloan, who previously worked at Private Media, the publishers of Crikey for a decade.
