Gary Sewell has received AWGIE nominations for both a Home and Away episode and a short film script.

Gary Sewell has received two nominations in the 46th Australian Writers’ Guild AWGIE Awards to be held in at the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne on October 4th. Gary is a 2008 graduate of the WA Screen Academy. He is nominated for Episode 5714 of Home and Away, dealing with the character Rosie’s sexual assault, using flashbacks to piece together her life-altering event. He also received a nomination for his short film script Bursting!, a mini-musical about a shy girl who dreams of being a singer. Trouble is, she has a killer voice –literally.
