Ben McCarthy (NSW) has won Trop Jr, the biggest short film festival for little people with a big imagination. Ben’s winning entry was Bumper, a claymation film about a frog who can’t jump.

One of the youngest of 16 finalists, 12 year old Ben is passionate about filmmaking, and spent most of the day today grilling Sam Worthington about Hollywood and how to make it in the film industry. Inspired by last year’s Trop Jr runner up the I Think You Stink Show, McCarthy’s Bumper is the only Claymation entry to make it to the finals this year at Trop Jr.
