Children’s fantasy animation series ‘Theo 13’ takes out top NSW project at last nights live pitch competition at Metro Screen.
With 11 projects vying to take out top spot and represent NSW at the National SDA Pitching session the competition was fierce.
Judging the projects was Martha Coleman Head of Development at Screen Australia, Ranko Markovic Producer of Cedar Boys and Katrina Beck Marketing and Communications Manager for Metro Screen.
Katrina studied theatre at UWS. After producing/directing + operating lighting/sound in theatre, Katrina moved into video + film. She has worked on + directed many short films, her last ‘Unseen’ screened extensively on the international circuit. She is Director of Metro Screen Kaleidoscope short video, film + multimedia festival + she also coordinates the short film festival Play Now/Act Now, getting smashed, young people alcohol + drugs, in partnership with NSW Health. Katrina considers short film as a genre unto itself + not merely a stepping stone to feature production.
