Australian feature film, The Babadook, which stars Essie Davis (The Slap, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries) has $15 000 to raise in the next 7 days on crowd-funding platform, Kickstarter. $25 will buy pledgers a copy of the film and limited edition artworks, merchandise and one-of-a-kind set pieces make up the rest of the rewards.
The film, which is written and directed by Jennifer Kent and produced by Kristina Ceyton, is a psychological-horror about a single mother who battles her son’s fear of a monster in the house, but soon discovers a sinister presence all around her.
