Last night The Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) celebrated the launch of FOXTEL’s ground-breaking dedicated high definition AFL Channel from FOX SPORTS, FOX FOOTY. One of the biggest names in television and AFL broadcasting, Eddie McGuire, presented at the event held in Parliament House, sharing his excitement for the new channel which will broadcast every game of the home and away season live and uninterrupted siren to siren.
In attendance at the launch were some of the industry’s most influential leaders including The Hon Steve Bracks, AC – Chairman ASTRA, The Hon Stephen Conroy – Minister Department of Broadband Communications and Digital Economy (DBCDE), Richard Freudenstein – CEO FOXTEL and Patrick Delany – CEO FOX SPORTS Australia. FOX FOOTY presenters and players included Eddie McGuire, Gerard Healy, Brad Johnson, Anthony Hudson and Alastair Lynch.
