International press attention for a short film is rare enough, but a new Australian short has caught the eye of America’s pop culture network MTV and attracted a fervour of media interest – before even having a festival screening.
Street Angel, an adaptation of a cult independent American comic book, has received glowing writeups on MTV and international comic book websites and film blogs since its 45 second trailer went
live on Youtube. The trailer has received over 4,000 hits in eight weeks.
