Michael Palin’s major new travel series, Palin’s New Europe, will premiere on Channel Seven in 2007. The six-part series follows the ex-Python as he explores 21 countries, many of which were once part of the Soviet Bloc.
Having already travelled the four corners of the Earth in Sahara and Himalaya, and navigated his way from Pole to Pole and Around the World in 80 Days, Michael now visits countries such as Bosnia, Albania, Moldova and Macedonia – placed that may well be newly-formed but which have rich and deep histories.
