‘Fresh’, a collection of fifty minute Australian dramas, has started its showcase run around Australia. After Sydney, it reaches Melbourne this Sunday night, and will arrive in the other capitals over the next few weeks.
The fifty minute form is a very odd beast, as many an emerging producer will admit through gritted teeth.
It is supported by the AFC, as a neat length to enable filmmakers to experiment with a complex structure without the additional pressure of the full ninety minutes.
