After hugely successful screenings at the St Kilda Festival, Adelaide Film Festival and WOMADelaide, AFI nominated filmmakers Natasha Gadd and Rhys Graham’s documentary about the Black Arm Band, murundak – songs of freedom, has added new venues to its national tour including Rosebud, Sorrento and Byron Bay.

murundak – songs of freedom features The Black Arm Band, a once in a lifetime gathering of Australia’s finest Aboriginal singers, as they take to the road with their songs of resistance and freedom. Filmed over four years, murundak – songs of freedom features the pioneers of Aboriginal protest music including Bart Willoughby, Archie Roach, the late Ruby Hunter as well as emerging artists Emma Donovan and Dan Sultan.
