Set in the 1930’s and 40’s, ‘Hunt Angels’ is a non-fiction feature that exposes a dark and dangerous episode in Australia’s cinema history. It is the true story of movie making outlaws, Rupert Kathner and Alma Brooks, who took on the powerful cinema conglomerates, a posse of police and the cultural cringe in their passionate pursuit to make Australian films.
Starring Ben Mendleson and Victoria Hill and produced by Sue Maslin this film was a wonderful way to open the newly renovated Chauvel and is set for release by Palace films October 6, 2006.
