Leading Indigenous filmmakers will develop their first feature film with support from international film identities when the second stage of the Australian Film Commission’s (AFC) Long Black commences in northern New South Wales on the weekend.
Long Black is a 10-day residential lab that gives 10 Australian Indigenous writer/directors the opportunity to draw on the experiences of exceptional international and local filmmakers in developing the final draft of their feature film scripts. The Indigenous filmmakers will workshop scenes from their screenplays with actors, cinematographers, and editors as part of the process.
