JUCY, the “womantic” comedy that garnered rave reviews at it’s 2010 Toronto International Film Festival premiere has inked a series of impressive deals through US distributor Viva Pictures – with Blockbuster, Amazon and Netflix – all timed to coincide with the film’s Australian theatrical release on 3 November.

JUCY tells the story of best friends Jackie and Lucy, who don’t want to grow up. The gorgeous and funny pair are out to prove they are adults by getting a boyfriend and a real job in two months. All hell breaks loose of course, and the events that unfold threaten to drive an irreversible wedge between the girls, but in the end, “womance” (close, platonic female friendship) wins out. The film delivers lots of laughs, a few tears and some unique dance moves.
