Dr Neal Blewett, Chair of the NSW Film & Television Office (FTO) announced today that Jane Smith, Chief Executive, has notified the FTO Board that she will not seek an extension of her current contract.
Ms Smith has been Chief Executive of the FTO for over nine years. In that time,
the FTO has focused on the delivery of quality projects and improving the sustainability of the film and television industry through programs such as the Aurora script development workshop, the Enterprise Tasman business skills development program and the participation of NSW filmmakers in international script/marketing forums such as the New York-based No Borders program. Ms Smith has overseen the achievement of an additional $10 million in funding to the FTO.
