Flickerfest International Short Film Festival, driven by MINI, zooms into Melbourne this weekend for the final fling of its highly successful national tour. Commencing on Thursday with our glamorous opening night screening and party with drinks,canapes and a DJ, generously sponsored by our partners MINI, Coopers, Swings and Roundabout wine and Nudie. Flickerfest is excited to present three international programmes of Australian and International award winning shorts in Melbourne plus our extremely popular special programme “THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF DOGS”. Highlights of Flickerfest Melbourne include the Victorian premiere of Norwegian film SNIFFER, the Cannes Palme D’Or winner 2006, the Moroccan/UK short film HEAVY METAL DRUMMER, the weirdly wacky GUIDE DOG by Oscar nominated animator Bill Plympton and BOOTH STORY about a lonely man and his kinship with a duck which will be introduced by Melbourne filmakers Kassimir Burgess and Edwin Mc Gill.
