Flickerfest 2011 is just around the corner and we are extremely excited to reveal our new program, website and Star Wars themed artwork, for what is our 20th Anniversary Year.
After searching through a record number of 1793 entries, we’ve whittled them down to just over 100 films- many of them Australian or World Premieres. The top flicks have been carefully handpicked to represent the most innovative, creative and cutting edge short films being produced in the world today. This impressive number of contenders from all round the world confirms Flickerfest’s reputation as Australia’s largest and most respected short film competition and further cements our reputation as the leading short film festival in Australia, complimented by our status as the only Academy Award accredited film festival in Australia and recent BAFTA recognition.
