Melbourne film maker Dennis Tupicoff’s animation CHAINSAW has won the Nelvana Grand Prize for Best Independent Short Animation at the Ottawa International Film Festival.

CHAINSAW also won the prize for Best Narrative Short Animation at the festival.

The jury praised the film “for the brilliant architecture of its story and its clever use of technique to convey emotion.”
