Once again, Australian writers throw off their masks of meekness (TM) and reveal themselves as the savage competitors they really are. The Australian Writers’ Guild has announced the 40th Annual AWGIE Awards are open for entries.

The AWGIE Awards are the Australian Writers’ Guild’s (AWG) annual awards for excellence in screen, television, stage and radio writing. The AWGIEs are the only peer assessed awards of excellence for performance writers with judging based on the written script – the writer’s intention – rather than the finished production.
