At the 2010 Storage Visions Conference in Las Vegas earlier this week, Avid received the “Company Visionary Award” in the Media and Entertainment category for its innovations in the field of shared storage.
The Company Visionary awards were given in four categories and it was in the Media and Entertainment category that Avid took out the award over fellow finalist, IBM. The award is given for advancing the state of the art in storage technologies utilized in the media and entertainment industries.
