We’re thrilled to announce that this year the Asia Pacific Screen Awards will be held on 21 November 2019 in Brisbane. The APSA Industry Program will also return. Running in the week leading up to the Awards, the program will include screenings, masterclasses and in-conversations. The program will feature public events alongside a program designed to connect filmmakers from across our region. Mark it in your calendars and stay tuned for exciting news in the lead up to the awards.

We’d also like to wish our APSA nominated and winning films best of luck next week at the Academy Awards®. Mirai is nominated for Best Animated Feature Film, Of Fathers and Sons for Best Documentary Feature and Capharnaüm and Shoplifters will contend for Best Foreign Language Film.

Before this year’s APSA ceremony, relive the excitement of the 12th Asia Pacific Screen Awards. Watch our winners talk about filmmaking and storytelling, including writer/director Nandita Das (Manto), documentarians Paul Damien Williams and Shannon Swan (Gurrumul) and producer Taguchi Hijiri (Shoplifters).
