AFC congratulates Australian nominees for the 80th Annual Academy Awards?
Wednesday 23 January 2008: The Australian Film Commission (AFC) today congratulated Cate Blanchett and Eva Orner on their Academy Award? nominations announced overnight in Los Angeles.
Cate Blanchett has received two Academy Award? nominations this year. She has been nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Elizabeth: The Golden Age, while her role in I’m Not There has secured her a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Cate Blanchett won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar? for her portrayal of Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator in 2005.
