    About the Opportunity:

    RDCM is looking for an experienced Video Editor / Motion Designer to join our Broadcast Team.  At RDCM we are committed to creating a best of breed customer experience through our leading products, driving innovation, and increasing consumer attraction and engagement.

    Asa an experienced Video Editor / Motion Designer you will lead in assembling content and creating high quality motion design elements for our broadcast programs.

    Key Responsibilities:      

    • The position encompasses a range of editing projects for broadcast and digital platforms as outlined by project briefs.  Responsible for reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, audio mixing, colour correction, encoding deliverables to destination specs and adhering to hard deadlines.
    • Responsible for creating motion design and still-frame elements using the Adobe suite of products.
    • Work closely with members of the Racing.com post and production teams, including the Post Production Supervisor and Head of Raceday.
    • Collaborate with the Producers, Directors, Shooters and Editors in ensuring the highest quality creative output.
    • Ensure all content meets relevant station guidelines and on-air codes of practice.

    About You:

    • Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a media-based environment.
    • Prior experience in successfully delivering content.
    • Proficiency in the following software; Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop – an understanding of 3D software packages is a plus, but not a requirement.
    • You must have a thorough knowledge of post-production workflows including audio mixing, colour correction, compression and archiving.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills which facilitate effective interaction with a broad range of stakeholders, as well as work in cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes.
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly assess options and identify and implement creative, innovative and flexible outcomes with complete attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines.
    • Knowledge of Thoroughbred Racing and its key stakeholders is an advantage.
    • Team focused with sound organisational skills and an ability to effectively manage multiple projects/issues and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting workloads.
