As a certified B Corp, we’re proud to combine creativity with purpose, supporting organisations that share our vision for a better world. We thrive on collaboration, fresh ideas, and shared goals – and now, we’re looking for a Motion Designer (Mid Weight) to join our team.
Who You Are We value who you are as much as what you’ve achieved. Your creativity, values, and how you connect with others matter just as much as your technical skills.
With 3+ years of experience in motion graphics and character animation, you’re eager to work on projects that make a difference. You enjoy crafting stories through visuals, tackling creative challenges, and bringing ideas to life.
What We’re Looking For
- You’re confident with After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and InDesign, with strong 2D character animation skills.
- You can simplify complex ideas into visually engaging, concise explainer videos.
- You enjoy teamwork, sharing feedback, and helping others grow.
- You take pride in polished, high-quality work that follows principles like composition, colour, and typography.
- You can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- While not essential, experience in the health, NFP, or government sectors is a plus.
- Experience in 3D animation is a bonus.
What You’ll Do As part of our creative team, you’ll bring stories to life through motion graphics and character animation. You’ll contribute to projects at every stage, from brainstorming ideas to delivering polished animations that resonate with audiences.
What a typical day might include:
- Brainstorming ideas, creating styleframes, and designing storyboards for a range of projects.
- Crafting high-quality 2D animations for explainer videos, promotional content, and social media.
- Attending briefings, presenting ideas, and refining work based on feedback.
- Collaborating with designers, animators, and the video production team to meet creative and project goals.
- Sharing your expertise and providing constructive feedback to support junior team members.
- Exploring new design trends and tools, and bringing fresh ideas to the team.
Why Join Laundry Lane? We’re passionate about our work and our people. At Laundry Lane:
