Werner Film Productions is a television production company specializing in scripted drama. Based in the South Melbourne. Over the last 5 years we have grown significantly delivering prime time award winning drama to Australia and the world market.

Role Purpose

Financial Officer is to oversee and manage the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, integrity and compliance of all our financial information and reporting. Individual productions each have a production accountant, this role is for the parent company.

Responsibilities

* Permanent staff payroll (8-9 FTE)

* Accounts payable

* Tracking & reporting development expenditure per project

* Cashflow projections and tracking intercompany loans

* Management of 4 Xero files

* Consolidating companies for upward reporting of P&L and Balance Sheet

* Managing and paying GST, PAYGW, PAYG Income Tax and Workcover

* Bank reconciliation

* Liaise with external auditors and tax accountants as required

Successful Candidate

* Certificate 4 or equivalent in accounting and bookkeeping

* 5 years experience

* Industry experience an advantage

* Proficient in Xero accounting package and strong excel skills

* Knowledge of Eclipse accounting program ideal

* Enjoys a close knit team

* Strong Communication /interpersonal skills
