The Inner West Film Fest was established in 2023 by dedicated film enthusiasts and professionals. The festival’s primary goal is to enrich the Inner West Sydney community by introducing an array of engaging and culturally significant film-related screenings and events in the area. Additionally, it aims to attract visitors from outside the Inner West, inviting them to explore and appreciate the charm of this vibrant inner city hub.Â
From Marrickville, Enmore and Newtown, across to Leichhardt, Balmain and Rozelle, Dulwich Hill, Lilyfield, Camperdown and Enmore, and all parts in between, Sydney’s Inner West is packed-to-bursting with creative energy, alive with cultural electricity, partly thanks to its artisan population.Â
Once and still a vibrant multicultural community, the Inner West’s industrial past has given way to its highly expressive present, with artists, students, musicians, writers, performers and filmmakers happily winding their way through its busy, bustling streets.
The Inner West Film Fest taps into the values of the area, celebrating emerging artists by boasting a diverse, inclusive and utterly fascinating selection of film premieres from Australia and abroad.
