Master of Information Technology
As technology increasingly becomes more important to business performance, there is a growing demand for IT graduates with technical and business expertise.
The Master of Information Technology involves an in-depth study of the implementation and application of IT, including how to effectively manage the organisational, economic, regulatory and socio-technical issues that may arise.
You will be introduced to fundamental concepts and core topics such as programming and data structures, data management systems, system analysis and project management, web development, strategic network design, and security, ethics, and professionalism.
You will also have the opportunity to specialise in one of the following areas:
–Â Information design and analysis
–Â Information systems development
This degree is suitable for those with and without an IT background seeking to develop the fundamental skills required to work in the sector, or to undertake a management role in which an understanding of IT implementation is essential.
On completion, graduates will be able to work in various roles: IT analyst, solution designer/engineer, IT consultant, ICT project manager.
